Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End
by Atul Gawande
Several members indicated an interest in the topic of aging - whether it is our own aging process or that of those we love - and expressed a desire to explore this topic further. We invite you to join our first OHMC book group, where we will have a Dharma discussion of the book, Being Mortal. The NYT describes Being Mortal as a “personal meditation on how we can better live with age-related frailty, serious illness and approaching death.” It is likely that some parts of the book will resonate with your own experience as a human being and as a mindfulness practitioner. We hope you will join us to practice deep listening and heart-felt sharing.
You can learn more about this book from the NYT Book Review (see link) and you can register by sending an email here.
