A Very Special Monday Live with Monastics

Dear Friends,

Join us Monday evening for an online meditation practice:

This week we are honored to be joined by one or more of the monastics from Plum Village and Deer Park Monasteries. Brother Chân Pháp Lai (his name translates to Coming of the Dharma) will lead us in our dharma topic.

We will enjoy our usual guided meditation and walking meditation periods (led by Annie), after which Brother Chân Pháp Lai will share whatever teachings he feels inspired to share with us.

We hope you will be able to join us for this talk!

More info about Brother Chân Pháp Lai

Brother Chân Pháp Lai was ordained by Thich Nhat Hanh in 2002, received full ordination as a bhikshu in 2006, and became a Dharma Teacher in 2010.

Br. Pháp Lai lives in the Plum Village community where he now shares his passion for nature and ecology through his teachings, guided walks, stories, plays, and music. Before he was a monk, he was an ecologist in Scotland.

Br. Pháp Lai has been actively involved in bringing Plum Village practices into education through the Wake Up Schools initiative. Every summer, many English-speaking children eagerly await the lively Dharma stories told by “Brother Ben”.

Br. Pháp Lai spent a large part of his youth in Africa, and has continued this affinity through his support for social workers in war torn Liberia. He has also offered talks on peace building in Northern Ireland and Colombia.

Within the community, Br. Pháp Lai’s humour, humility, sincerity, and wisdom have made him an endearing elder brother. His favourite practices are Dharma sharing and walking in nature, and he loves impromptu theatre and music.

Please don't miss this chance to hear from Brother Pháp Lai!
