Solid as a Mountain: Staying Rooted in the Midst of Chaos
We all need strong roots in order to thrive and withstand the storms of our life. What are our roots? Where do we take refuge when things become difficult? Together we will explore ways to strengthen our connections to the things that keep us healthy, grounded, and peaceful. We will also look into the gifts that times of chaos and turmoil may provide.
This retreat will be an opportunity to learn and enjoy the art of mindful and peaceful living. It will help us learn to recognize and embrace our pain, find peace within ourselves, and foster stronger connection in our communities. It will give us an opportunity to stop, rest, and touch the source of wisdom, compassion and healing in ourselves, so that we can renew our relationships and bring peace and understanding to our world. Through the practice of mindfulness we will learn how to nourish happiness, gratitude, good communication and serenity in our daily life.
Each day there will be sessions of yoga, meditation, sitting and walking meditation, group discussions, eating mindfully (with some part of the meal in silence) and deep relaxation. We will also learn InterPlay, a powerful mindfulness tool to grow ease, connection, and wisdom through play.
