Dear Ones,
As we look toward a new year, we seek to support and nourish our growing Opening Heart Mindfulness Community. As part of that ongoing work, we plan to offer sangha facilitation training for any who may be interested and have been meditating with the OHMC community for at least one year.
We will hold this virtual session for those who would like to learn more, talk with current facilitators about their experience and ask any questions to help you determine if you would like to pursue training.
Saturday Dec. 11, 3-4pm EST
Facilitators play an important role, helping to hold the sangha in a safe space, strengthen our interconnectedness and guide others. OHMC offers three sangha opportunities per week: Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings and Fridays at noon.
We expect to launch Facilitator training in February, and it will consist of 4 parts:
A January "get to know you" gathering of current facilitators and new trainees.
A mandatory 90-minute training session in February. We will offer both a Saturday and a weeknight option.
A recorded bell training that can be done at your convenience. There will be an opportunity to discuss the training with either a facilitator group or a mentor.
A March community training experience facilitated by Sandra Kim, a skilled practitioner. (can include a hyperlink to her bio or website) This training will explore how to keep each other safe, how to resolve conflicts and manage difficult discussions in sangha, and other facilitation strategies.
We hope to see you. If you have any questions, please contact:
